I have Pinterest to thank for this outfit. I always keep a style inspiration board and collect outfit ideas as I go along. I love to remix items I already have in my wardrobe. I may not have the exact piece but I still might be able to put a similar outfit together.
When I am having one of those days where I stare into the wardrobe and think 'I have nothing to wear', this is when I reach for my Ipad to find some inspiration. I like to layer in the winter so here I have on a t-shirt with a denim shirt and black jacket. I finished the outfit off with my old faithful jeans and a big scarf.
Where do you look for inspiration?
Linking up with Logan at Southern Sunflowers & Coffee Beans, Patti at Not Dead Yet Style, Molly at still being molly and Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy.
Have a lovely day.
Hi, Rachel. Love this re-worked outfit. Great staple pieces all brought together for a great look.
ReplyI have a folder of inspirations I find that is compiled of outfits I see on other fashion blogs....but mostly, if I see something that inspires, I immediately go to my closet, put something together similar and photograph it for my "potential outfits" folder. Then I always have numerous outfits at the ready to choose from.
Thank you so much Lisa. I have done that before too. I need to do it again as the outfits I photographed, I haven't got any more. Thanks for the reminder xx
You look Great & Warm. Visiting from Funday Monday. . . .
ReplyThank you very much. I'm glad I layered up as it was quite windy :-)
LOVE your outfit, gorgeous scarf xx
ReplyThank you so much, Gail xx
You look great, Rachel, the beautiful big scarf and red bag really make the whole outfit something special. Hmm, inspiration; I don't really know where mine comes from! Blogs sometimes, but usually what I wear depends on my mood and what first comes to hand in my wardrobe. I'm not very organised, so it's all a bit random! xxx
ReplyThank you so much, Curtise. The bigger the scarf, the better for me! You certainly don't look like you make random choices as you always look so well coordinated and lovely xxx
Your look is wonderful - old favorites and an excellent scarf and bag - perfection. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
ReplyThank you so much Patti and thanks for having me xx
Love the outfit, Rachel. I also like Lisa's idea of having a 'potential outfits' folder. I am a shocking dresser, however, I am beginning to pick up some lovely tips thanks to your blog.
ReplyThank you so much. You are so kind to say such lovely things xx

Hi Rachel, I love your layers. And I have scarves that size and I'm honestly inspired to drape them in the fashion that you have draped yours. I love how you've designed it to show a lot of the pattern. And about Pinterest....yep, it's my happy place too!
ReplyHi Sue
Thank you so much. I love big scarves, I love to feel nice and warm. Enjoy the rest of your week :-)
That's what I call casual but bright. All those layers, the scarf of an interesting print and the red bag make this outfit to stand out.
ReplyThat is so nice of you Olga. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Take care xx
I love that scarf and the bag, well that goes without saying, I am fascinated with all things called accessories lately.
ReplyThank you so much Linda. In the winter, I feel bare without a scarf especially when I am at work :-)
Wonderful inspired choices! You look perfectly comfortable with your outfit, and you nailed "casual chic".
ReplyI find checking in with other bloggers around my age, and with a similar aesthetic are some of my best sources of inspiration. Wish there were more shorties like me!
