Day 15 of my '90 days of summer' posts; enjoy a pitcher of Pimms. On a lovely, summers day while lazing on the garden, there is nothing better than sharing a refreshing pitcher of Pimms.

It's so delightfully sweet, so refreshing and tastes great with summer fruits. The perfect summer drink!

One of the highlights of this upcoming weekend for me will be homemade margaritas, as it is my birthday tomorrow and I am planning to indulge!

I'm looking forward to a girls night out tonight, with lots of tapas and dancing, and Steve has a surprise for me on Saturday which I'm excited about. On Sunday we are visiting the city of Lincoln for the day; it's so beautiful. It has the best of both worlds, as it has shops and scenery!

Just in case you fancy sharing a cocktail with me this weekend, here is our recipe:

35ml/1 3/4 fl oz Tequila
20ml/3/4 fl oz Cointreau
35ml/1 3/4 fl oz fresh lime juice
handful ice cubes
lime wedge, to garnish

Pour the Tequila, Cointreau and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.
Add a handful of ice cubes and shake vigorously.
Strain into a cocktail glass with half the rim dampened with water, then dipped in salt.
Add a lime wedge on the rim to garnish.

Well, that Cosmopolitan (and several like it) are gone...... and very nice they were too!

So, it's a new year and a good time to reflect. This year I am going to make the time to be more creative and learn new things. I will make time for my blog and get better at photography and writing. The last six months have been a bit of a rocky road but this year will be better; I am determined.
