We spent my birthday weekend in sunny Scarborough and this was the view from our hotel bedroom. I left the curtains open at night so I could wake up and see the sea. I took this photo at three o'clock in the morning and as you can see, the sun is already starting to rise. Breathtaking!
This week I have been loving:
spending date night eating chocolate fondue
picking self seeded flowers from the garden to brighten my kitchen
eating butternut squash and asparagus risotto
Have a great weekend lovelies. We are planning on painting the shelves for our office and a picnic for two in the park. Have you anything nice planned?
loving the chocolate fondue! We've got friends staying with us for the weekend...lots of eating, drinking and giggling!
ReplyIt was sooo good Carrie! Have a lovely weekend with your friends, it sounds like it's going to be fun xx
oh my, I'd love to wake up to a view like that! What a fantastic sight. May I ask where you stayed? I used to visit Scarborough a lot as a child as my great aunt and uncle had a holiday home nearby, I'd love to revisit one day.
ReplyThis weekend I'm hoping to go on a couple of wildlife events with the wildlife trust and rspb - but one involves an early start and I'm hopeless at mornings so I'll have to see how that goes! Might also visit a couple more well dressings.
Hope you have a good weekend :)
We stayed in the Clifton hotel which is on the North bay side. It is quite an old hotel and is having renovations done on it but it was perfect for us. We booked a double room and were upgraded to an executive family room with a sea view which was just perfect.
I love Scarborough and it never changes! Have a lovely weekend Louise. Hope you get to do all you have planned. xx
Beautiful beautiful sunrise, happy birthday Rachel
ReplyThank you so much sweetie. It was so beautiful to see xx
A beautiful sunrise over the sea, flowers, and risotto - three of my favourite things, and so beautifully photographed, Rachel! Summer Fair at school for me tomorrow, setting up, the event itself, and clearing up - it's going to be a long day... xxx
ReplyThank you so much Curtise. That's so lovely of you. The summer fair sounds like it is going to keep you busy! Hope you get to relax and enjoy your weekend too xxx
That fondue looks divine. I hope you had a great birthday.
ReplyX x
Awww thank you so much. It was lovely thank you. Have a great weekend sweetie xx
That view reminds me of the time our car broke down and we were stranded in a random town for a weekend until it could be fixed. The plus side was finding a motel on the lake side - the views and the sunset made up for everything!
ReplyThat was definitely a bonus for breaking down Rachael! A lake side motel sounds ideal xx
Gorgeous small sighs. I love it when the sun rises above the sea. xx
ReplyThank you so so much sweetie. Have a lovely weekend xx
hope you had a wonderful birthday dear... looks like you did by seeing the photos... send you lots of hugs and blessings... kisses
