spring pastels

So, you are going for a walk in the park and the sun only occasionally shows its face, but you are determined to lose the winter knits.

This is a great spring pastel outfit for this year. It felt so good getting the peach and mint out of the closet. I bought the jacket last year and matched it with clothes I already had. I'm now looking for a casual pair of trousers to pair with the jacket for the summer.

Have you seen any that might look good with it?

This is one of our favourite places to visit. The botanical gardens (last seen here) has so much to see. A great place for picnics, outdoor concerts and a restored bear pit (which actually had two bears in it until the 1870's.)

spring wedding outfit

A perfect bang on trend outfit for a spring wedding. I have picked this dress as it can be worn throughout the season for other occasions too because of its versatility.

The yellow and white work very well together and white is the colour to be wearing this spring.
Combined with a white clutch and gold jewellery; definitely belle of the ball time!

what I wore for work

Yey! Sun at last. Time to work the wardrobe and bring out the summer dresses for work. They have been waiting in the wardrobe for too long. I was drawn to the eye-catching lace detail around the waist of this dress. I just had to have it.

What I really want, to finish off this look and other outfits, is a pair of coral shoes. Any ideas?

working the wardrobe

I'm so glad pastel tones are still being worn as I have got a few things in my wardrobe that I didn't get to wear last year (thanks to the weather).

One of my resolutions this year was to be more of a tourist in my local area. It's amazing what you can find on your doorstep that you barely knew existed.

As you can see, it was a really windy day!

We ate lunch in this really quiet and quaint village that is over a thousand years old. Can you believe, the ruins of Thorpe Salvin Old Hall are practically in someone's back garden!
