Today the topic is give a piece of advice to others. This advice was once given to me and now I'm passing it on to you.
'Smile and the whole world smiles with you'
This piece of advice really works!
Smiling makes you and others around you feel better; it's contagious. It makes you look more approachable, helps you stay positive, relieves stress and most of all it makes you look younger!
If you are having a bit of a bad day, you can trick yourself into feeling better by smiling. It might feel fake to start with but trust me, you will feel better. By doing this you can make a bad day into a much more upbeat one.
Its rather like when the Cheshire cat left its smile behind, the smile has a lasting effect on us.
Have a lovely day.
It's so true! I smile a lot; and sometimes I have been amazed at how a smile can completely turn someone else's day around.
ReplyIt really does work doesn't it! If I'm having a bad day and I'm with someone who's upbeat, I always feel better.

I can't really meditate for long, so taking the 'sit and smile' cue is great for me. It does make so much of a difference. I find I smile the most when I have my headphones on, listening to music and walking (to work, home, shopping etc) - I'm sure I have the biggest goofiest smile on my face. It makes everything better. Thanks for the lovely reminder Rachel xoxox
ReplyI listen to feel good music on the way to work, I have to try really hard not to sing out loud!
ReplyHave a good day

Smiling does make everything better! I, too, had originally intended to write about smiling today (but changed tracks midway through) :)
ReplyGreat minds think alike, Vivienne!

It's a good motto to live by, isn't it Shanique.

It does Cortne, you are right. I remind myself of this when I am having a down day.
